Health

The body is not a punchline or a crime scene

Sodomy, as a health topic, is mostly anal sex plus a pile of folklore. We keep the anatomy, throw out the folklore, and refuse to diagnose you from a laptop screen.

Anyone with an anus can be curious about it. That includes men, women, and nonbinary people; straight couples and queer ones. Framing this desk as “LGBTQ+ only” would repeat the law’s old mistake: treating an anatomical act as a tribe. Framing it as only a joke would repeat the locker room’s. We are aiming at the tone of a good nurse who has heard every question and will still look you in the eye.

Nothing here is a how-to video, a product ranking farm, or a substitute for a clinician. If something hurts and keeps hurting, bleeds in a way that worries you, or you think you were exposed to an infection, call a professional. If you are in the United States, CDC STI information is a sane start. Planned Parenthood and local sexual-health clinics are others.

Educational material, not a diagnosis, prescription, or legal opinion. Consenting adults only. Laws change; check primary sources and a licensed professional in your jurisdiction. If you are in danger, local emergency services come first.

Anal Pleasure and Health: A Guide for Men, Women and Couples

Jack Morin, Ph.D.

The pamphlet your health class did not hand out. Morin treats anatomy like anatomy — nerves, habits, hemorrhoids, and the occasional compliment to a much-maligned portal.

Come As You Are: Revised and Updated

Emily Nagoski, Ph.D.

Not a sodomy manual — a map of how desire, stress, and context actually work. Read this before anyone starts issuing technique advice like a drill sergeant.

The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women

Tristan Taormino

Despite the title, the second edition is a consent-first owner's manual for any pairing — anatomy, hygiene, communication, and how to ignore a century of bad advice. Cleis, not a skin flick with a table of contents.

Lube is infrastructure

Two formulas, not a toy wall. Friction is an injury vector. These stay off Law and History.

Health supply

Sliquid Naturals Sassy Water-Based Lubricant (8.5 fl oz)

Sliquid

A thicker water-based gel, glycerin-free, for when anatomy and physics disagree. Friction is an injury vector; this is the boring, correct intervention.

Überlube Luxury Silicone Lubricant (55 ml)

Überlube

Four ingredients, a glass pump, and a long glide. Silicone lasts; skip it on silicone toys. The adult equivalent of wearing shoes that fit.

Not medical or legal advice. Lube is not a diagnosis. If something hurts, stop and talk to a clinician who will not blush.
